The farm is located in the town of Roccafluvione (299 meters or about 980 feet), located in the province of Ascoli Piceno. The name of the town is derived from its being situated on a rock in the middle of the river River Fluvione.
The Surrounding Area
This large territory includes as many as 31 small villages. Among these, the associated village of Meschia, famous for bouldering, is a popular destination for lovers of natural climbing. The landscape is varied and the places visited are vast. Roccafluvione is characterized by the presence of numerous ancient water mills and a unique natural bridge, formed by the union of two rocks and called Ponte Nativo.
The Churches
Worthy of note are two Romanesque churches: the Church of S. Stefano di Protomartire (XII sec.) And the Church of SS. Ippolito and Cassiano Pedara (XII sec.).
Typical Activities & Events
The area is most well-known for black truffles, celebrated by a festival called “Truffle & Co”.
Another characteristic fair is the “Festival of Plants” which takes place every year on the second Sunday in March.
